I am a 23 year old female and I was told that I had a fungal skin infection in my groin area a few weeks ago. I used over the counter clotrimazole and I no longer have symptoms, but what concerns me is that I have darker skin still in that area. How can you tell if the infection is gone? Will the dark areas clear up as well?
