Hi, my father is an heart patient and he has undergone bypass heart surgery (cabg) in 2016. Medicine which doctor advised to continue was 1. Amlong 5 mg, 2. Pantop dsr, 3. Atorva 40 mg, 4. Cardivas 6.25 mg, 5.ecosprin 150 mg. He stopped taking medicines in feb, 2019. From january 2020, he started feeling discomfort like pain in chest, sweating. So he decided to continue the same medicine from 5th of feb 2020. So on 6th of feb he got fainted for 2-3 seconds and after that he is facing memory loss problem like recalling anybody names or reading/writing and also feeling headache. Please advice.

Hello Lybrate User, post cabg patient should be using prescribed medications daily without interruption. Transient ischemic attack or brain stroke can be causes of fainting and loss of memory. Pls consult a physician and take appropriate treatment. Take care.
