Sir, my mother is taking duxito 20 mg from last 4 months at night while sleeping. She has some sign of depression and much anger also she has pain in her legs. Doctor gave this with clonazepam tablets and mineral capsules + oxcarb 150 mg. Is it safe to continue duxito now, though her anger appears if she don't take duxito.

Yes sir, normally, antidepressants are to be taken for 6-9 months after the symptoms are resolved and then they are slowly tapered off. Also, I would suggest that you start tapering clonazepam slowly now. It should not be given for a long time beyond 3-4 weeks. Reduce dose by 25% every 2-3 weeks and stop for clonazepam.

It is not that effective antidepressant. If her symptoms are under control with that, she can continue the same. If not there are better antidepressant s which also give good sleep and are safe. Kindly consult a psychiatrist or get second opinion. Good luck.
