I've been seeing many home remedies running around the internet and one that bothered me the most was a drink containing garlic, ginger, water, some spices i'm not familiar with, apple slices, pineapple and oranges (including the skin). It seems that they cooked all this together until it was boiling. I was curious whether this could negatively harm someone or lead to any complications.

If you are adding peels of fruits into this cocktail before consumption, I highly suggest that you scrub & clean the outsides of the fruits thoroughly. Many fruits have pesticides being sprayed on them which is harmful for humans. Apples have wax coating around them so either boil the fruit in hot water or scrape the wax off using a butter knife before using it for cooking or other purposes. Apart from that, since the fruits & spices are from nature & have more health benefits compared to store-bought juices, the cocktail you described seems to be safe.
