My fasting sugar is 143 and ppbs is 140i
I am taking sitagliptin 20 mg with 500 mg metformin and gemer .50 in the morning hba1c is 8.9 please advice.

I have seen the details given. There are some questions : Sitagliptin dosage is not 20 mg at all. It is 50 mg twice a day or 100 mg once. 2) Are you saying Gemer 0.5 mg?
3)HbA1c% 8.9% is showing uncontrolled diabetes. However PP glucose looks quite good.
Please come back with exact details of dosage of all medications, FBG & PP glucose taken again, lipid profile, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, BP readings and your age. Also inform serum creatinine and urea. On getting all those details I will be able to give some advice. please update whether you are taking this tablets once daily or twice daily..

Sitagliptin is in strength of 50 or 100 mg. There are multiple issues 1 quality of hba1c 2 conditions affecting hba1c 3 other issues like kidney problem heart problem if we consider this report is ok we need to increase medicines along with diet modification. For these things you will need consultation.

Hi, I could not get a full picture of your drug list I understood you take both sitagliptin (20 mg dose not available) and gemer (dose not mentioned) in the morning I suggest you start taking additional doses of half gemer at dinner, and repeat fasting and pp sugars after a week and respond.

Dear lybrate-user kumar, I would prefer that first you check again your medicine properly. Sitagliptin is not available in 20 mg. And more over I can see glycomet gp1, glyconorm g1, tetagliptin* (mostly teneligliptin) in your details. And if you are checking your sugar levels with glucometer at home, then I would suggest you check once from laboratory and repeat hba1c also from good laboratory.
