I had a fungal infection on thighs back in june 2018, which was cured in 2019 I remember, because I didn't followed any medications before. Then a doctor recommended me fluconazole tablet, and after a course, it was cured, and my skin was back to normal. But after sometime, it started itching in that area, and it still itches till date. It itches really bad and after scratching, that area becomes reddish and it starts burning. I apply powder in that area (mycoderm), but still sometimes that itching is uncontrollable. Is there any medications which will completely cure the skin problem? I make sure that I am completely dry after a bath before I wear any cloths, but still that itching isn't going anywhere!

Hi, firstly we need to confirm if the fungal infection is still active. In that case certain medicines will be needed. Usually requires one to one and half month of treatment for it to subside completely. You can use ketoconazole soap in those areas and keep it dry. Avoid sharing soap, towels or clothes. Wash infected clothes separately in hot water. You can consult me with photos and details for further treatment.
