I was suffering with panic attacks two years back and my bp used to shoot up to 160/90, but after I received consultation from psychiatrist all is fine. In the mean while I was put on 2 high bp pills telsar beta 50 and ln bloc 10, now my bp ranges from 125/75 to 135/80 and doctor has reduced my pills to telsar beta 25. I run workout 4 times a week and my rhr is 40-50 bpm now. Should I still continue to take pills? All my test reports were ok. May be I was put on to bp pills due to panic attacks. Should I still be taking pills for high bp. I suffer from whitecoat syndrome but at home my bp does not exceed 130/80 please advise please advise. I feel completely ok now.

You should continue with your bp pills until your doctor decides to stop it. You are having normal bp because you are taking medicines, if you stop it, your bp will shoot up again.

Hello, your bp is keeping normal because of the medicines you are taking. If you stop tablets it might rise again. Your resting heart rate is low due to beta component in the tablet. You can stop telsar beta and start plain telsar 40 mg.

yes your bp doses require adjustment . You are on 3 drugs at present. all 3 in small doses. Decrease in heart rate is common effect of beta (blocker) medicines
