I have been taking thyronorm 25 mcg for my hypothyroidism from last 8 month and now I have decided to take treatment of homeopathy and I takes thyroidinum3x 2 tabs three times a day from last 10 days. Currently I takes both medicine (thyronorm 25, and thyroidinum3x). Please guide how I stopped thyronorm.

Sir, this is wrong dose and wrong way of taking drug. Start 50 microgram once daily empty stomach in morning, anything after half an hour.

Mr Ayush Ranjan, Thanks for the query. Please understand hypothyroidism is a hormone (Thyroxine) deficiency. Which means your thyroid is either not producing enough or very little of the same. Since this hormone is required for day to day functioning of many vital metabolic activities in the body, like maintaining heart rate, body temperature, normal functioning of brain, skin texture, hair growth , menstruation in females, and many more functions. So it needs to be supplemented form outside. Plus you have to maintain TSH level around 3 to 4 mU/L which shows hypothyroidism is in control. There is NO OTHER TREATMENT for this condition. You may take the drugs of alternate therapy, but do not stop taking Levothyroxine. Thanks.

Heloo Mr. lybrate-user. I would like to suggest better to continue with your thyronorm only. U must need thyronorm for your hypothyroidism. According to my opinion do not exchange. Check your thyroid profile and adjust the dose according to your reports.
