My granny (63 year old) have skin allergic problem suffering since 4 to 5 year, had consult with several doctors but don't get positive result, only get relief while taking medicine and lotion, have too much dry skin without rubbing oil & lotion (home remedies), feel itching through out the day. What type of test should go through it. Suggest me any lotion/tablets. Currently following these medicine, attached picture of skin allergy 1. Miconazole nitrate cream 2. Chlorpheniramine maleate tablet 3. Itraconazole capsules.

Hi, usually skin loses its moisture as we age. But apart from that diabetes mellitus, thyroid disorder are commonly known causes. You can get fbs, ppbs and thyroid profile to rule out the above. Few tips to reduce symptoms. - massage of coconut oil before bath - use warm water to have bath, very hot water not recommended - use moisturizing soaps, venusia soap or dove - application of moisturizer like venusia maxx cream immediately after bath within 5 mins when the body is still a little wet - repeated application of moisturizer 3- 4 times a day - the above mentioned treatment she is already on is for fungal infection if she has any red rashes kindly take an online consultation.
