Monika ji, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. The current level of TSH (3.26 mU/L ) is because of taking Levothyroxine 25 mcg, every day. Madam please understand hypothyroidism is a hormone (Thyroxine) deficiency. Since your thyroid is not making either enough or very little of that hormone, there is a need for regular supplement and that too for lifetime. There is no question of stopping the treatment. You will have to periodically check TSH (once in 6 months) to see that it is maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L However, if a female desires to have a pregnancy then TSH has to be maintained < 2.5 mU/L. As regards weight gain, it is usually observed in uncontrolled hypothyroidism. Once that is controlled, then a regular restricted diet is taken and regular exercises are done, there is a possibility of weight reduction. Weight gain does not happen because of PCOD, in fact over weight women tend to develop PCOD. Now that your hypothyroidism is under control, please make special efforts with your diet and exercises. At present your BMI is 26.5 kgs /Sq meter (Normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter). Your ideal body weight has to be around 61 to 62 kgs. So please plan a proper work out and diet.. Hair fall is usually very slow to recover even after correction of hypothyroidism. EVen irregular periods are again seen in hypothyroidism and also in PCOD. If you have any questions please do come back. Are you taking any medication for PCOD? Thanks.

Hello, you should not stop taking thyroxine tablet. Most patients require long term replacement therapy. Again considering your age if you r married and about to conceive better continue medications as both hypothyroidism and pcod can cause infertility for pcod life style modification is the first line of treatment. Your bmi is 26.4 which means you r overweight so consider brisk aerobic exercise half an hr daily with healthy diet to regulate your menstrual cycle thanks.
