Hello. My age is 22. I am in the 9th month of my pregnancy and my doctor has given my edd as 17 may. The ultrasound detects the baby in breech position. I want to know what does edd exactly mean. Does it mean on that date labour will surely start naturally? Also it will be helpful if you'll provide insights on the method of delivery which is most common for breech babies. Please guide me on this in detail.

Edd means expected due date it is a date important for gynecologist treating to decide management. In breech presentation to avoid any risk to baby caesarean section more so if first delivery. Some gynecologists do try to change position by pressure on abdomen during pregnancy (not during pains)
