Hi. I am suffering from back pain since three months. My age is 24. My vitamin d level is 19 and b12 level is 380. After which I have been taking pregalex for 20 days. But no signs of improvement. The doctor has recommended me 4 injections of arachitol and methycobal. But after taking the first dose yesterday, I am having more hands, leg, and back pain. I don't know what to do?

It seems you have severe vitd deficiency. If you don't feel injection is good, you can take vit d as sachets (d rise 60k) one per week in a glass of water for 8 weeks. Also you need to be physically active to counter osteomalacia 1.do brisk walking at least 45 min everyday. Do some basic stretches in the morning (hams, calf, gluteal) and core strengthening exercises 2.get exposed to sunlight at least 15 min between 11 am - 2 pm when you can get uv rays for vit d production 3.eat calcium rich foods like spinach, broccolli, cauliflower, mustard, almonds, pumpkin seeds and some fruits like oranges, figs, black currants 4.taking dairy products (controversial)

Your vita d is very low and improvement will occur in couple of weeks. So follow the medications and exercises.

You need to take calcium along with vit d. That will give you better and faster relief. Vit d without calcium is an empty truck.

Arachitol injection may not cause pain in hands leg or back. You should complete the course of vit d3.
