Hello, I would suggest you to stop diclofenac tablet as it may cause acidity and other side effects. Start tab etova er 400 mg twice daily for 10 days also you have to take some precautions like avoid sitting on floor and use western toilet. These things will protect your knees from excessive stress. You can continue applying diclofenac gel. Regards.

Hello lybrate-user. With the information you have provided, I understand that Ms. nabjyoti devi is a middle aged female with knee pain who is has been diagnosed with osteoarthritis and prescribed symptomatic treatment (painkillers). I would need more information to make any kind of impression and give you suggestions: 1. Whats her weight and height? 2. How long has she had knee pain and which knee are we talking about? 3. Whats her occupation profile? 4. Is the knee pain worse with climbing stairs? 5. Has she had any injury to the knee? 6. Does she have any other medical illnesses? 7. Does she have associated back, buttock or calf pain and associated abnormal sensations in the leg? 8. Additionally I would like to see the x-ray films (preferably standing xrays films). In the mean time I can only say that pain killers are no solution to osteoarthritis. In fact I would strictly advice against them.
