Good morning If you have a trigger finger which can have pretty much two types of treatment. Conservative treatment might be a better option with a simple steroid injection which might be very helpful and 70% chance you might get better. Most of the Orthopaedic surgeons will do locally in your place. If things persist, surgery is the option if your finger gets a more locking episodes.

Trigger finger is common in diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, hyperuricemia, hypothyroidism, etc. Rule out these. Trigger finger is term used by orthopedic surgeon and not by a patient, if you haven't consulted anyone, you can't be sure of your diagnosis. There are many conditions which can cause finger pain. Usually trigger finger causes pain in palm and finger gets stuck in flexed position, which releases with a snap/click. Thanks.
