I am 47 years old having hypertension and had been given with medicine metocard xl 12.5. My problem the office in which I work is telling me to come to office amidst the cavity-19 situation. I don't know if it is safe for bp patient to go out in this situation.

Hi lybrate-user covid 19 is really a concern today ,and as the lockdown is easing offices are being opended. Covid 19 hit a bit harder in pts with hypertension, so better to stay indoor, but if have no other option except to go outdoor then strictly follow physical distancing and bear a good quality mask, avoid touching your eyes, hand wash frequently. If you follow these things strictly, then your chances of getting infected is very little. Hope I had solved your query thanks.

since you are young and have no dangerous medical conditions, you are very low risk for complications. Healthy young people almost invariably sail through this infection and may continue normal life with simple precautions like avoiding very crowded places and taking leave and rest if they have respiratory illness.

Hello Mr. lybrate-user you can go anywhere with sanitizer, mask and keep social distancing. One more thing about your diagnosis of hypertension, is questionable in view of very low dose of drug which will not control your blood pressure. May be at the time of diagnosis some other circumstances like stress and all.
