Hi. I have diabetes type 2 and my weight was not too healthy it was 78. Few months ago I went to an endocrinologist and they changed my insulin to Apidra solostar pen (12 units two times a day) and lantus pen (30 units one time a day) before breakfast only. And said join gym and I joined now my weight is 67. My trainer recommend me get protein powder but he was saying that ask doctors that it is good for you or not and if yes then which one also if they know otherwise I will tell you which to buy. Please let me know can I get protein powder.

If you r having type 2 diabetes, better to switch it on tablets. As insulin might increase your weight too.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. There is no mention of current fasting, PP glucose levels and HbA1c%. Therefore, no idea about the control at present. You can look at protein powders that give 60 to 80 % proteins and NO SUGAR in them. There are quite a few. Thanks.

Please do not take protein powder from gym. Use natural food which is high in protein.
