Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. However, there is no mention of fasting & PP glucose levels. It is essential to know those. Also please let me know what is the composition of Benefit 20 mg tablet? Because I am not seeing that name on searching for it. HbA1c% of 7.8 % is fairly high considering the age. At that age ideally it should be < 6.5% . Plus FBG should be < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg/100 ml. Now there is a need to look at all the following aspect like : weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercises, lipid profile, BP readings and upgrading the drug treatment. So my suggestion is please come back with all the necessary details preferably in a private conversation so that I will be able to give specific guidelines and even prescribe necessary drugs if required. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guidelines, no drugs can be prescribed. Thanks.

You are still young, so you can have better control of blood sugar. There are many drugs available to suit the particular person to keep the sugar within normal limits. Before going for a private consultation, do a complete diabetic profile blood test and ecg, only with that its easy to change a medication suitable for you.
