Hello, your fasting sugar is well under control only pp sugar is slightly high instead of taking glycomet go 0.5 (which may be the reason for drowsiness in evening as it may cause low sugar) you can switch over to glucobay m 25/500 1-0-0 along with janumet 50/500 0-0-1. Â

Hello, thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. In a very well controlled diabetic patient fbg should be < 100 mg, or closer to 100 mg, pp 150 to 170 mg & hba1c% < 6.5%. In your case fbg seems to be good but pp is not coming in control. 210 to 220 mg is high, but not too high. This can be controlled by simple adjustment in dietary intake. Even a reduction of 15 to 20 % of food intake, particularly carbohydrates like roti, chapati, rice, dosa, idli, potatoes, and bakery items (if taken), can bring down the pp glucose levels. One can increase the intake of green leafy vegetables, salads and fruits like orange, apple, papaya, pomegranate, guava. Better to eliminate fruits like banana, mango, chikkoo, water melon, and other melons. Another aspect is your weight with a bmi of 26.51 kgs /sq meter (normal < 23 kgs/sq meter) you have an excess of almost 9 plus kgs. Your ideal body weight has to 60 to 61 kgs. Bringing that weight down will also help in reducing pp glucose levels. Glucose levels around 90 to 120 mg do not lead to any drowsiness or any other uneasy feelings. Only when glucose goes below 70 mg there is a possibility of hypoglycemic symptoms. You have not mentioned any thing about exercises at all. As regards millets those also give carbs in good quantity. Even millets need to less polished and in limited quantities. If you have any questions please do come back. Thanks. Â
