I am 36 years old guy. Single. Type 2 diabetic. On medication zoryl mv2 and tenlimac for the last two months. Feeling numbness and pins and needles in my legs due to which I can not sleep at all. I have been prescribed pregabalin 75 mg plain along with pregaba nt75 mg for legs. But it seems to be not working as well. I am taking thia medicine for the last one month. And I also see some bloated or fat veins in my legs. Please advise. Doctor. What is the best course for this?

Hello, Thanks for the query. One of the most common and early seen complication of diabetes is peripheral neuropathy, with symptoms that you have described. Pragabalin is one of the better treatments to control pain. However, best option is achieving a strict blood glucose control with FBG < 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6.5%. Since there is absolutely no information on the following : FBG, PP glucose, HbA1c%, weight, height, dietary pattern, extent of daily exercise, lipid profile and BP readings no further comments can be made.
