Hello lybrate-user, bartholin cysts are not fatal in nature. Even so, you can experience a lot of pain and makes you difficult to sit, walk. Getting it surgically removed doesn't come with such assurance as it could give birth to a new one in your nearby future or so. Also, I would like to clear that these cysts doesn't interfere with the conception but you can face discomfort and pain during intercourse. I would recommend you to go for homeopathic treatment for at least once. Use hepar sulph 1m (6 pellets) once in every week or you can repeat it otherwise if you experience any pain, swelling or difficulty. Sitz bath or warm towel compression will be helpful as it could drain or rupture those infected cysts on its own.

Bartholin gland cyst does not affect the fertility of a woman. While the cyst is not an infection, it can cause discomfort in the day-to-day activities or during intercourse. Despite this, bartholin gland doesn’t interfere with the conception.
