Hello this is b.saran from cuttack odisha, suffering from subclinical hypothyroid (as my doctor mentioned in prescription. I got tested my thyroid about a month ago (tsh was 7.37) currently I am taking thyronorm 50 but since one month the symptoms are getting worse. The main symptoms I am facing is excessive sleepiness, extreme fatigue and difficult in concentration. Sometimes joint pains and whole body pains. So please refer what need to be done ?even after sleeping of 14 hours I feel like need more rest.

Hello, Thanks for the query. Since you are already on treatment with Levothyroxine for over 4 weeks please check TSH again to find out whether there is any reduction. TSH should be maintained around 3 to 4 mU/L for remaining free from all the symptoms. Thanks.

Dear Mr. lybrate-user, subclinical hypothyroidism does not produce symptoms such as you describe. It is possible that you may be having a sleep apnoea problem which may need to be sorted out. The other possibility is an emotional disturbance you need a proper consultation with a detailed history to sort out the problem
