Good evening doctor. I have diabetes mellitus type 2 and i'm currently using medication like tenepride 1000 mg and humalog mix 25. First two days after taking humalog mix 25 my glucose level was 74 then my dise. Was morning 15unit and evening 10 units. Then my doctor told me to cut insulin 12 units morning and 8 units night. Then my glucose level was 122. Now my insulin dose is 16 units morning and 12 units evening. But my blood glucose level is stay ing between 350 to 450 every time (fasting and after meal. I'm experiencing swelling in periorbital area and constipation from first day of taking insulin. please doctor recommend me something and reply as fast as you can.

However, a few things are not clear to me like - 1)Your glucose levels were well controlled (112 mg, fasting or PP not mentioned). When was it? How many days before? Since when the glucose levels started going up? Have the levels gone up with same dosage being continued over a period ? What has changed/ Diet, exercises or anything else? Because without a change in either dosing, diet or exercise and activity or weight gain glucose levels will not go up to the extent mentioned. What are the other drugs being taken (oral anti-diabetics)? What is the BP reading? Also inform lipid profile, HbA1c%. In this communication we are supposed to give only general guide lines, no drugs can be prescribed. Let us also know whether you are on any other medications provide a complete list (some medicines have a tendency to increase sugar level).
