I have used a tablet isotroin (isotretinoin) for 30 days for acne and have undergone kidney function test and liver function test after 7 days of usage of medicine the report says the urea percentage is 17. 33 and ast is 40 is there any serious condition to look after the doctor? Please suggest me at times am having severe body pains, weakness, lower back pain, and am urinating 3 times in the night. Are these the side effects of the medicine? Please suggest me the solution.

Here are few points which may find helpful. 1. Your test reports are normal. So there is no need to worry on that front. 2. There might be some other issues which is causing your symptoms. Check for electrolytes, vit d levels and thyroid profiles. 3. Kindly check and access for any anxiety related issue. Adv: take a healthy and full diet, excercise daily for an hour, do whatever makes you happy. You should be fine.

Yes these are very common side effects of isotretinoin, the values of your ast and urea are within normal levels .if these side effects continue consult your dermatologist.
