With prolactin levels more than 100, tumors are suspected. The levels you have, should be under control with cabergolin. Repeat prolactin levels after 4 weeks of cabergolin.

The ser. Prolactin level of this much indicates that you are having a small tumor. In pituitary.(microadenoma) it can be treated effectively with the drugs like bromocryptine and cabergoline. I personally prefer bromocryptine as the first line of treatment. (your value is not very high) serum prolactin level between 30 and 200 ng per ml is considerd as moderately high. If the patient is not responding to medical treatment and the tumor is big, she will require surgery.

Your prolactin levels aint that high for a tumor. What was your pre cabergoline prolactin? Also you will need a proper regimen of cabergoline for some time. I hope you have gotten your thyroids checked. And ruled out medicine-related hyperprolactinemia.
