Hello, I have acne on my back and some on my face, the doctor ask me to take isotretinoin 40 mg. Do think the dosage is high and are there any side effects.

Dosage depends on body weight. Every medicine has an effect as well as side effect. Isotretinoin commonly causes dryness and photosensitivity. Start using a mild face wash, sunscreen in morning to face and moisturizer to face at night. Variation in liver function or triglycerides are documented but does not happen in all.

yes.. treatment depends on the grade...Acne or pimples... Due to hormonal changes..Oily skin causes it...Common in adolescent age...May occur in adults also.. Food like Oily foods, ice cream, chocolate and sweets increase it..
