Mr. lybrate-user, thanks for the query. Since the query has come to me I am answering it even though I am not a homeopath. First and foremost please understand hypothyroidism is a hormone (thyroxine t4) deficiency. Which means your thyroid is not producing enough or almost nil. Hence you have to supplement the same for outside. This hormone is required every day for many vital functions in the body like maintaining body temperature, heart rate, normal brain functioning, many other metabolic activities including normal growth and emotional balance. Therefore, supplementation has to be for life time. Tsh needs to be maintained around 3 to 4 mu/l to remain free from all the symptoms of the disorder. There id absolutely no other treatment. I hope you understand. So please continue taking adequate dosage of levothyroxine. Thanks.
