Dealybrate-user, your father's symtoms are due to peripheral neuropathy which is common in diabetics. If he is on metformin he probably has vitamin b12 deficiency for which tab vit b12 (nurokind) 500 microgram once a day is safe to take. Ask him to keep his feet warm by wearing socks through the night that will relieve symptoms.
