I am 56 years old man and a diabetic. I take gloeye tablet one everyday as per the doctor's advice. Secondly, I also take relent antihistamines tablet one in the night (cetrizine plus ambroxol. I want to know whether these medicines have adverse effect on kidneys or not. Thanks.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. In a person with diabetes most important part is to achieve a stric glucose control with FBG < 100 mg or closer to 100 mg, PP 150 to 170 mg & HbA1c% < 6,5%. Because high blood glucose is the one that damages all the vital organs including kidneys. As regards the Tablet Gloeye, I have absolutely no idea whether it has any effect at all. Because there is NO Medicine availabke which delays or prevents cataract till now. So taking those tablets is a placebo effect. Secondly taking Cetirizine and Ambroxol daily is not really good. I am not aware why are you using that tablet. Any drug being used over a long time has certain side effects. Thanks.
