I had injured my toe nail around a year ago and half of the nail haf come off and half was remaining. It was really painful however I didn't consult any doctor and by 2 weeks the pain left and the wound healed. However since then the nail has had a discoloration and has become thick with thick white substance between the nail and nail bed. It doesn't pain me. Can you please me what to do here and what is the thick white substance.

Nail psoriasis sometimes causes too much keratin to grow under the nail. This overgrowth is called subungual hyperkeratosis. People with hyperkeratosis may notice a white, chalky substance under the nail. Let's have a detailed discussion for better advise and medication plan.
