I am taking novomix 50, morning 12 units before breakfast and 8 units before dinner. under5 mg (linagliptin) before breakfast and metformin 500 mg after lunch. My weight is 73 kg. For the last 3 years, I am loosing muscles in thies and hands though, my weight is maintained. I am taking 1700 kilo calories food including proteins like eggs, milk and d vitamin supplements per day. Will any Dr. help me for not loosing my muscles.

Hba1c% 7.3 % is suggestive a fairly good control of blood glucose. It should preferably be < 7%. There is no mention of any physical activity. Another important pooint is that how do have come to the conclusion that "muscle mass has been going down" is there any test done to measure body fat and muscle mass? Looking at your height, weight and age, your ideal body weight should be actually be 65 .5 kgs. Your present bmi is 24,83 kgs/sq meter (normal < 23 kgs /sq meter). Thanks.
