Hi I take nexito 10 mg with betacap tr 40 mg. I withdraw nexito 10 mg. Is it ok? I gain weight also. What to do?

Dear Satarupa, It depends on the diagnosis. Weight gain may not be due to nexito. It may be due to untreated and under treated depression. In Major depressive disorder, nexito is usually given for few months more after improvement.

It's ok to take nexito and betacap. I request you to share me personally about your diagnosis and then I will let you know which medication to be stopped. Both betacap and nexito won't produce much weight gain.

Sudden stop of med not advisable. U can reduce the dose by 25 % every month. If any problem comes you may add vilazodone 20 mg after consulting your doctor. Yes escitalopram can cause wt gain.
