It is commonly used in the treatment of stubborn acne and strict precautions are advised so that you do not concieve while on it or within 1 month of stopping it. There are various schools of thought regarding its use but in general the time duration of treatment is usually dependant on the dose. It is given, if no contraindication present, at the very least, for a couple of months, during which regular timely blood tests are done to monitor its effects. Also kindly ensure you are treating the pcos component since it is a cause for acne in general.
