Good evening lybrate-user. Aziderm (containing azelaic acid) cream/gel is used in the treatment on acne and post acne marks. Regarding side effects- most commonly seen are burning/stinging sensation, itching, dry skin etc. This does not mean that the side effects are common, it just means that among the side effects, these are ones most commonly seen. If you require a detailed side effect profile, I suggest you refer a credible online sources for an exhaustive list. It can be used on your 'full' face though have to understand that azelaic acid monotherapy may not provide the best results in most cases of acne and it is usually paired with other anti acne medications depending on the patient profile.
