Dear lybrate-user, after tota thyroidectomy for papillary thyroid cancer the dose of thyroxine should be adjusted to maintain tsh < 0.1 uiu/ml for the initial 5 years at least. I assume you are now on 100 ug once daily this may have to be increased to 2 tablets taken on an empty stomach. Do not miss any dose. If you forget in the morning take it when you remember. After 3 months check tsh and make sure it is less than 0.1. You will need thyroxine lifelong and I am sure your doctor would have told you that professor m s seshadri.
