Hello. I won't say it makes the acne worse on its first use but yes many a times patients complains of burning sensation and dryness with its use.in that case use a moisturizer first and after 30 mints use aziderm .thanks.

Good morning Kirti. Aziderm ( containing Azelaic acid ) is quite well tolerated and has good side effect profile among the topical medications indicated for acne. It is not known to to be generally associated with initial acne flare ups either.
