I am having seborrheic dermatitis. Can I use kenozol 2% shampoo and biotin and multivitamin tablets and a good diet. Is it enough to treat this? Or I need terbinafine to take with it also?

You do not need biotin /multivitamins for seborrheic dermatitis unless you have an established vitamin deficiency. Treatment of seborrheic dermatitis depends on the severity of the case. A mild case will suffice with kenozol 2% whereas a more severe case requires oral and other topical medication. Terbinafine is not required in seborrheic dermatitis. For correct assessment, kindly take a consult from a certified dermatologist.

It's a good shampoo. Try it alternate day for 15-30 day or daily for 7-10 day. As soon as dandruff is clear, you should use it with a gap of 3-4 days (2 time in a week ). If no improvement is there, consult with your dermatologist for complete treatment.

Hello. Oral medication (like terbinafine / itraconazole) is advised only in severe or long standing cases of seborrheic dermatitis (though not helpful). Depending upon the severity of s.d you can use ketoconazol/ zinc / cyclopirox/ salicylic acid shampoo, alone or combination. Biotin, multivitamin, minerals are essential for hair growth, you can take if there is ny deficiency .visit nearest dermatolgist. Thanks.
