Sir I am a diabetic for 12 years and my hba1c never went up above 6.5.on last month my hba1c is 6.fasting blood sugar is 111 and ppg 132 (home test) lipid panel shows normal. Serum creatinine 0.93 .blood pressure normal. On teneligliptin 20 mg repace50 mg novastat 5 mg. Since 3 years I am on teneligliptin. Is teneligliptin a good medicine for preventing cardio problem for long time use or should I switch to other antidiabetic medicine? Daily food boiled rice 150 +150+100gram (uncooked) 3 times. Morning walk 60 minutes, yoga 15 minutes. Weight 58 kg, height 5.11.please suggest.

Yes it is a good drug but studies shows vildagliptin to be more potent and cardio-protective. You can consult your diabetologist and suggest him.
