Hello, Thanks for the query. It is not possible to give any opinion or advice as there is no information on actual TSH & T4 levels. By saying normal and high, I do not get any idea. Please mention the correct levels that to latest ones. Hypothyroidism is a hormone (Thyroxine) deficiency disorder, where our own thyroid gland is not producng enough or almost nit thyroxine. In such situation supplementation of that hormone in the form of Levothyroxine is THE ONLY OPTION. There is no link betweek taking the supplement and diabetes. I do not understand how got this information. Thanks.

Dear lybrate-user, if your t4 is high but tsh is normal you probably have an increase in thyroid hormone binding globulin this occurs in women taking hormonal pills for menstrual problems. Are you on cyclical hormones (21 day pills or oral contraceptive pills)? If that is the case ignore the t4 value and continue the present dose of 100 ug thyrox
