Today father has been tested covid19 positive. He is having fever from last 3 days. No other symptoms or discomfort. In 2019, he had a mild heart attack and angioplasty done and 2 stents has been implemented. Total 3 blocks and for 1 block he was having medicines. Now only having ecosprin and a tablet for cholesterol. Last check up done 5 months ago. We are so tensed because of his covid positive result. Please advise and share valuable inputs.

Dear lybrate-user do not worry covid 19 can be cured if treatment is started earliest. Before starting treatment you need blood tests such as ddimer ,crp, il 6 (a bit costly test. If you do not have affordability issues pls get il6 also done) basing on these reports I need to adjust prescribe medication doses. Also pls do 6 minutes walk test (continuously walk for 6 minutes and check for saturation if spo2 is less than 94 .pls get ct chest. If saturation is more than 94 after 6 minutes walk test no need of ct chest. Once you get back to me with those reports I will send prescription. If it's not possible for you to get those tests done .no problem I will send prescription because treatment should be started asap.

Continue medication related to his heart problem and regarding covid-19 continue the medication as advised. Also go for healthy diet, plenty of rest, some yoga and also avoid stress. If symptoms like difficulty in breathing occurs then you need to consult physician as early as possible.
