Hi doctor. My wife went for follicular study, she took letrozole tablet from 2nd day. On her 10th day she has 6 mm on her right ovary, and on her 12th day also the same 6 mm. On her 14th day she has 8 mm, is this normal? Doctor asked to come on her 16th day. Her periods are also regular, we had all tests. All were normal. Does the follicular size increase day by day?

Happy afternoon sir a good growing follicle grows at a rate of 1.5 -2 mm per day, hence follicular monitoring is necessary to track the growth of the follicle, if by day 16th none of the follicles are more than 10 mm, then will have to cancel the cycle and should evaluate the cause for non response and try ovulation indication with other ovulation induction drugs in the next cycle. Thank you.

Yes follicular size increases each day but sometimes measurements may vary n the amount of growth also varies . As long as a follicle is growing n ruptures, you should not worry
