Am 25 years old. I have pain in my lower ribs and lower back. When I do some extra household work like washing clothes then it hurts a little more that day. When I move my upper area or push ribs then it hurts allot. I am getting this pain from last 4-5 months. I have taken antibiotics, vitamin d & calcium, zerodol sp but not getting any relief. I have done my chest x ray and ultrasound of whole abdomen but all the reports are normal. Please help me to know why am getting this pain. Can it be bcz of sitting in wrong posture for long time. Or is it tuberculosis?

It looks like having muscular cause. If your pain is controlled then you may start back strengthening and back flexion exercise. Now to rule out tuberculosis, please consult any orthopaedic surgeon (me or anyone of your choice). Do you have pain more in night, weight loss, loss of appetite, fever sometimes. If answer to any of these is yes then your doctor may ask you to get few blood investigations +/- mri spine (only if needed). So I would advise you to consult any orthopaedic surgeon (me via online Lybrate or anyone of your choice).
