Doctor prescribed medicam rapid and trisdas tablets after my gall stones removal laparoscopic surgery do I need to take them only when I have pain or I should take them although there is no pain other than pain relief do they work for any purpose like to prevent infection or so.

Hi. After gall bladder laparoscopic surgery there shouldnot be much medicines except few tablets to prevent post operative biliary gastritis. So, as such the medicines you are mentioning can be taken as and when required basis. Thnks.

You don't need to take unnecessary meds. It will create more problem rather than proving beneficial. Better to avoid fatty, fried foods. There is negligible chances of infection post cholecystectomy.
