Sir my fbg is 122 even after tight control and ppg is 138 .my hba1c is 6.2 .on teneligliptin 20 mg and metformin 500 mg sr at night. On repace 50 mg and novastat 5 mg. As necessary fbg should be within 110 but I am failing to maintain it within 110. I am diabetic for a decade serum creatinine 0.90 .lipid is alright. Weight 58 kg and height 5.11 inch. What should be the correct duration for testing fasting blood glucose by glucometer. I walk 45 minutes daily and do yoga. Two times rice in moderate quantity and two chapattis at night please advise as I am struggling to control my fbg.

FBG can be brought down by slightly reducing your night time intake by about 10 % or so. Otherwise there is absolutely no reason to worry. You are doing very well. your levels are ok. Nothing to worry. Along with medicines follow diabetes diet which simply means eating the healthiest foods in moderate amounts and sticking to regular mealtimes.
