Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your glucose levels mentioned Fasting 297 mg & PP 472 mg are too high, in fact dangerously high. There is no mention of HbA1c%, which also can be very high. The number of drugs that are being used also are quite a lot. With these drugs you should have been able to achieve necessary control. Please let me know current Fasting, PP glucose & HbA1c%, lipid profile, serum creatinine, urea and BP readings. Another important aspect which I am sure you are aware is that with a BMI(Body Mass Index) of 34.38 kgs (normal < 23 kgs/Sq meter) you are close to grade 2 obesity. There is an excess of over 37 kgs weight. This is a major hindrance in achieving necessary glucose reduction. There is no mention about your dietary pattern and extent of daily physical activity. I am sure you are aware that in a well controlled diabetes patient FBG should be < 100 mg(5.55 mMoles) PP 150 to 170 mg PP 8.33 to 9.44 mMoles) & HbA1c% 6.5%. (We in India do not use mMoles for glucose count). Therefore it ivery essential to know all the details before any advice can be given or any suggestions can be made. I await your detailed response.\At 40 years you are too young to have such a bad situation. I hope you realise the same. Thanks.
