I have been suffering from thyroid since more than 10 years. My latest tsh reading is 1.1194. Currently I am taking 88 mg thyronorm tablet. Should I reduce the does of medicine? Please advise.

Yes you can reduce the dose to 75 mg. Then check the report after 20-25 days.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. The present TSH level is well within the normal range. It would have been better if you had mentioned T4 level also. Please let me know whether you have any symptoms associated with hypothyroidism now? If there are no symptoms then continuing present dosage is good enough. TSH should be ideally remain around 3 to 4 mU/L for being free from any symptoms. The range of TSH is 0.5 to 5 mU/L(might vary a bit from lab to lab,). So currently there is no reason to change any dosage. Only if TSH goes below 0.2 mu/L then we will have to consider reducing dosage If you have any questions still then please do com back. Thanks.
