I am a 44-year-old female who was diagnosed with severe anemia (hemoglobin: 7) and multiple uterine fibroids last year. I required ten doses of iv iron infusions. I had an iud (mirena) implanted in december 2019 and this significantly reduced my blood loss. However, today I am experiencing extremely heavy bleeding, bleeding through a super extra plus tampon or a nocturnal maxi pad in as little as ten minutes. Should I go to the emergency room?

Your pathology of uterine fibroid remains. You had severe anemia due to that. You are 44 yrs. Get hysterectomy done and be safe from excessive bleeding.
