Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. The drugs mentioned Glimiperide and Tenelegliptin both are totally different compounds having totally different modes of action like glimiperide is a sulfanylurea with action directly on Beta cell that causes release of insulin independent of food present in the gut. Tenelegliptin is a DPP-IV inhibitor has action through incretin based system which releases insulin based on presence of glucose in the gut. Both are quite good. A diabetologist will decide the need based on patient's glucose levels, dietary pattern and need. Another aspect which is unclear to me is that why are you zuggesting the treatment to the patient? Are you a treating doctor? Please clarify. Thanks.
