My tsh was 2 seven months back. Now after seven months it has increased to 5.5.now what should l do. I am taking thyronorm 36.5. Should l increase thyronorm dose.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details given. Your TSH 5.5 mU/L is fine considering your age. Because at this age it is better to have TSH around 5 to 6 mU/L. Lower TSH means increased Thyroxine (T4) activity. Which is not advisable in the persons above 60 years. So no need to increase the dosage. Another aspect do you have any symptoms associated with this situation? If there is no problem at all, then just forget about it. Thanks.
