Dr. I had partial epilepsy at the age of 3 n I was on medication for 7 yrs. And after about 12 years I got this seizure episode which was a strong one. Now i'm on levepsy 500. I also have scoliosis for which we were planning surgery. Just during this time I got seizure. Now I can I go for surgery? I'm confused. please guide. Thanks dr.

Hello lybrate-user, the presence of seizures is no contraindication for surgery. You can undergo any surgery with ga. But yes first your surgeon and anesthesiologist should knno your problem and they will approach the problem correctly, you should definitely continue taking your medicine and inform the doctors.
