I am 40 years female, have a lot of thyroid symptoms but all thyroid test come back normal. Finally was ordered a dexamethasone suppression low dose test. My results are cortisol level .80 mcg and acth level 2.4 pg, what do these results mean? My doctor is on vacation.

Hello, Thanks for the query. I have seen the details mentioned. However, there is no mention of actual levels of T3, T4, TSH and Anti TPO antibodies mentioned. By saying just "Normal" it is difficult to comment. It would have been better if actual levels were mentioned. Secondly the ACTH and Cortisol levels mentioned appear to be lower than normal. But difficult to say anything further. Thanks.
